Whats the best server for web hosting? What should I know before buying?

I’m Sorry i wasn’t clear. I’m looking to possibly start a web hosting service and would like to know what type of server is generaly used in the bussiness. Size, speed, and operating systems any info that might help. Thank You

    Well im sure everyone is going to answer this by telling you to go to all the big names, but i have found that HostMee are a great source of internet services such as hosting.(price and service)

    It depends on what you need the server to do.

    If you want to host a static site, then shared hosting is fine, but if you are planning on something that is going to have huge download and visitor traffic, then get a VPS or dedicated server.
